Summary

GraphMarks has no servers of its own. The extension sends no information to Zetesis Labs or any third party, uses no analytics or advertising services, and makes no network requests while running.

What data the extension uses

To draw the graph and provide its features, GraphMarks accesses the following browser data. All of it is processed locally on the user’s machine and none of it leaves the browser:

• Bookmarks: read to render them as a graph, and modified only when the user renames, moves, creates or deletes them from the visualisation itself.
• Open tabs: their URL and title are read to mark which bookmarks are already open and to switch to that tab instead of duplicating it.
• Tab groups: an optional permission requested when saving or restoring a session, to preserve each group’s name, colour and collapsed state.
• Browsing history: analysed on the user’s own machine to work out how often each bookmark is visited and draw the most used ones larger. It is never transmitted and no copy is kept outside the browser.
• Site icons: taken from Chrome’s local favicon cache, with no external downloads.

Where your data lives

Tags, saved window sessions and view preferences are stored through Chrome’s storage API. When the user has Chrome sync enabled, that data travels between their own devices through their Google account, with no involvement from — or access by — Zetesis Labs at any point.

Uninstalling the extension removes this data from the browser. The extension also lets users export and import it as a local JSON file.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect personally identifiable information, health, financial or authentication data, personal communications, location or user activity. We do not sell or transfer data to third parties, do not use it for purposes unrelated to the extension’s core functionality, and do not use it for creditworthiness or lending purposes.

Third-party code

All extension code ships inside the package itself, including the visualisation library. No remote code is downloaded or executed. The project is open source under the MIT licence and its code can be audited on GitHub.

Changes to this policy

Should a future version of GraphMarks change how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version is published and the last-updated date will reflect it.
